Resting Moth Wall Hangings
These handcrafted wall sculptures transform two iconic native species—the Rosy Maple Moth and the Giant Leopard Moth—into bold steel works of art. Normally just fingernail- to palm-sized, here they’re reimagined at a striking scale, designed to rest vertically on walls, trees, or posts like their living counterparts on their favorite host plants.
Crafted with detail and care, each piece honors the moths’ symbolism of transformation and resilience, while built tough enough for outdoor or indoor display.
Handcrafted, Built to Last
Forged in Durham, NC nearly 30 years ago, we’re still doing things the way they should be done: handcrafted, built to last. We don't just crank stuff out; we put our sweat and skill into every piece we make. Crafting products that withstand the demand of salt, wind, and sun, and other forces of nature like rogue squirrels and toddlers with melting ice cream cones.
Why "Cricket Forge"?
Many cultures view the presence of a cricket in the household as a symbol of good luck, where the cricket is the bearer of wealth, companionship, and happiness. The “Cricket on the hearth” scenario is usually experienced in colder months, where crickets often seek warmth indoors, sometimes on or near a fireplace. The “Forge,” aspect is in reference to the crickets that tend to hang around the recently-used blacksmith forges in the Cricket Forge shop.
